Favorite Winter Holiday

My favorite winer holiday would have to be Christmas, not only because I get and give gift but because it's a good time for all of my family to gather and eat and share laughs. This Christmas was really fun because my uncle hooked up his xbox kinect and everyone got to play it and have a good time with each other. Most of all I love the food, my grandmas chicken and greens and my aunts deserts are my favorites.

Curfew for teens?

Curfews are being considered because of the high rate of phone calls they have recieved that are related to gun shots and fueding teenangers. In Iowa City the curfew for 16-17 year olds is they are banned from public places from midnight to 5a.m. A pro is that it would stop things from happening at night, a con is that there is still things going on during the day and at school such as bullying. I think that a curfew wouldn't do anything really, I think it would just make teenangers find a way around it like they do everything else. And it really wont help the violence because Ive heard gun shots during the day, so basically a curfew wouldn't make much of a difference just give them another law to defy.

If I Couldn't Live In Iowa

If I couldn't live in Iowa I would live, in Georgia. I like Georgia because it is usually very warm there and there is a lot going on in that city so I know I would never get bored. My favorite thing about Georgia would be the fact that they have a real beach and I've never been on a beach befor but it looks like a good time when I see it on T.V.

Overcoming Fear

During last summer, I went to a new swimming pool that I had never been to before. Well at this new pool there is a very steep red slide. When I looked at the slide it was very intimidating at first, but then I challenged myself to swallow my fear and just go down the slide. Once I started going up the stairs I got more and more scared and intimidated. When I finally reached the top and looked down the slide I was at my peak of being afraid, but that wasn't even a factor because I told myself that I was going to go down it so that's what I was going to do. Finally it was my turn to go down the slide, I took a deep breath closed my eyes and went down the slide. It was very much like riding a roller coaster, but in the end it was very fun and i'm glad that I did it. After I accomplished that I began to challenge my cousin's and sister to go down it too!

A time I enjoyed learning

The time I enjoyed learnin was when I was in the isiserettes. I loved learning new routines and dancing to new beats. My favorite thing about learning new routines was knowing that I was doing things that a lot of other people couldn't do, and I stuck out the most as the baby because I was the youngest and I was the littlest so when I danced like the big girls people were very infacuated with me.

              This is a very beautiful picture it looks like a New Years celebration, or  any kind of celebration of some sort. I chose this picture because it looked very interesting and because it was the first one I saw. I love the colors in this picture they're amazing.
